Carolyn Hartley

About the Artist

From her earliest years while growing up in Eastern Tennessee, Carolyn Hartley was inspired by the natural beauty all around her. The changing seasons with their light, color, texture and movement continued to nourish her as she raised a family and followed a long career in education. Extensive travel, a life-long passion, provided rich experiences for artistic expression.

Carolyn is intrigued with the complexity of watercolor and the seemingly limitless possibilities of the medium to reflect mood, experience and light. She is fascinated with color and particularly enjoys intense, vivid colors which reflect the energy of life. Her  paintings have been exhibited in Tennessee, North Carolina, Pennnsylvania, New York and New Jersey.
